Take Me Places
We do search our soul
a constant desire to know
how might we escape drudgery,
what lies ahead in mystery.
I know as I sit before you
when anytime out of the blue,
I want to depart to simply vanish
without any indication outlandish.
Yet I do remain in that soulful
state of mind I try to fulfill
with memories of you and our time
a sojourn of passion we might cimb
when the moment suggests it is now
when our lives need a start and how
far can you take me, to when,
where will we land together again.
I want to with you find that place,
the many avenues that will replace
the sudden shock I feel when wound
inside tattered remnants, poorly bound.
Let me feel the clear love of your grace
that part of beauty I no longer need chase,
yet, please allow my heart its own release
before departure again takes my peace.
