Weeks have gone by, more the months of why,
once in the truth of love we did laugh,
quiet in our own discreet haven,
shadowed by a reality we both would wonder.
When I could imagine a smile, a laughter
calms my heart, gives pleasure to time,
when she did dance in my dreams.
The world continues to forsake its energy,
to while away the indiscretions of error.
We did fall in love
the moon filled the lunacy of distance
enough to suggest
we would work for peace,
the humanity of emotion,
always in battle with love.
