Brings Me To This Place
I suppose I will settle for the nature of time,
When I think of a certain love so sublime.
Though I stand before a forest of God’s grace
It is everything before me I’d rather erase.
To be standing near her, so I might then hold
Her hand in the light of day to be so bold.
I once recall a time where minutes could hours
Hold promise certain love long endured ours
As children do play to find something remarkable
A secret shared amongst the club if only able.
We in quiet hours in promise and sweet shelter
Find solace inside our own helter-skelter.
I listen to the music play a certain familiar sound
Knowing still though my heart is truly bound.
My love, my sweet outpouring of simple passion
Is in chance framed by certain time’s foundation
