A Reality In My Life
In coming to terms, there are mirrors,
a shine a lustre a facade
a sort of take me away from who I do see
until that notice,
that moment when eyes caress my soul.
She could transport my mind to a fantasy,
a world of difference for me,
a sentimental gentleman in waiting
in one moment lost, the next given purpose.
Well while my world began to come alive
I forgot about hers,
I chose to only imagine it was about me,
my needs, my desire,
when love becomes a distant albatross.
In certainty the waves of passion are clear,
I haven’t a regret,
in fact my life is alive in eyes of her mystique,
I live for that glance,
the touch would allow my mind a travel
Though then that reality brings my tears,
for I miss her eyes,
her sweet smile, the glance, when rest
would bring her cheek
upon my shoulder, I am the fortunate man.
Do not be deceived, my selfish motive is grateful,
the elegance of knowing love favor my humility.
