In Respect to Time
How we live, who we are, what we believe,
we are all asking the same questions,
when we think mentally,
we do become more curious than others.
For instance, in a single moment,
when while listening,
the thoughts in my mind could trigger
in good battle overcome the cynic nature
of oppressive ill-minded thinking.
Trapped inside this void of afterthought,
the desires of yesterday still strong, still visual,
the intimacy involved in letting go,
seems easier by the hour, the day, the minute,
when suddenly we recall a moment,
a passion, in a time of genuine need,
a compassionate soul who did offer solace.
I walked along a quiet memory,
used to be a regular notion in my mind,
when we did realize together the fortunes
of understanding well before our instincts
ever suggested otherwise.
I’m today, still walking, still wondering,
still hopeful that our lives though measured
will find avenues in sensuality’s eternity.
Five, six, seven, eight – who do we appreciate?
