On Letting Go
On birding, and trust, and love
I once knew a woman who could
Offer a sweet resting point to him,
As he might land soft, a quiet tear.
Oh, to know the moment a smile
Would grace her own state of mind,
To experience the beauty she gives
A time to imagine before letting go.
Her identity is in shadows so real
That in your eyes only imagine
She is elegant, she is spectacular
Enough to offer him swift solace
Oh to know hers is eternal in true love
She will shoulder simple pleasures above
