What If …
In an instant the world flipped upon its axis
a sudden breeze, a familiar sigh, in universal
order, our love welcome instantaneous access.
What if the world tossed aside a norm eternal.
Perhaps then reservation might become old
while fresh spontaneity its ideal does unfold
the mystery of love as we do imagine is bold
when undertones, confusion, so we are told.
Walk with me along the edge of life oh please
so hearts might flourish in night sky a wild
abandon, a spiritual reckoning of reach, a tease
that soon become the reality so oft beguiled.
Do as they say now, rather than ego be rolled
apart from the soul a laughter assuredly cold.
While the horizon changes complexion to gold,
oh to know the beauty in grace so I am told.
The sunrise will astound such the naked eye
for now we might carry out what we at last,
might desire and passion overcome time awry
to settle heart-felt wisdom surreal, so fast.
Oh what might that wonder allow sweet surrender
In a moment of bliss, the what if where I do wander.
