If Only We Could …
… know that time might define our lives,
before we could tell we can fall in love.
How similar our mind works and thrives,
when suddenly we seek the same above.
… describe in a symbolic gesture our desire
becomes sweet love in immediate embrace.
How we do imagine fantasy a perpetual fire
warms a delicious desire we shan’t erase.
… know I might not know her as well as today
what if that time suddenly became obscure?
How I would wonder why I might lose my way,
knowing her, helps my heart and soul feel pure.
For if we were strangers walking in a light snow
Those romantic notions would be love we know.
