I can remember it like yesterday,
wasn’t a Hollywood dream,
a memory of some favorite scene.
Just the two of us, an arctic night,
saying good night,
though earlier I did want to strive.
Wanted to tell you I loved you,
and I waited, I was afraid,
it might be too much, we already were.
I remember you walking away,
window closing I said I thought you
would hear when the words were,
‘I love you.’
