I wanted only
to feel strength
her resolve took my mind
my heart
my soul
body,
places known
I married her wisdom
only to feel
insurmountable
pain when suddenly
the mechanics of
the human condition
followed us grippingly
the next thirty years.
Meanwhile love
appeared
beyond reality.
