Outside the rains are pouring,
a light drizzle if measuring,
a little Dylan on the turn,
the mood of the world in mind.
Wonder if our lives would change
if we could be alongside every
victim with family or friend,
nearby, focus miles from you and me.
I sat out on the deck,
sheltered from the storm,
an overhead needs a sweep,
a moment and my dog I keep.
While the rains do cleanse my mind,
I think about you, and a slow rewind.
