That is my ring finger
impression is almost gone
though I can see it
sort of like feeling my toes
in my left foot
long after amputation.
Just nerves
keep me alive
glide me through the difficult
moments.
I have a friend
she always told me to remain in the present
I’d respond
It is sometimes difficult
I wonder about her,
is she present, is she happy, her eyes well?
I wish I knew
walking through
Is it really worthwhile feeling the majority
won’t challenge
the human condition
