Look beyond the smile
a haziness around the eyes
if we come close a disguise
will last only a short while.

A picture would speak out loud
if in view we see this trial
an emotional glance is denial
Pride remains alone in a crowd.
~
This one afternoon she told me
as much that a picture is a why
hide with care a momentary cry
for the onlooker always will be.
~
I would if I could my tears release
If would you share love in peace.
