When once I held your hand
soft was the light in your eyes
forever would sensuality stand
upon a sunset thought so wise
~
I could remember always gravel
a walkway in a quiet afternoon,
I could remember love unravel
yet an eternal memory will swoon.
~
When last we spoke of a tragedy,
so loose in mine, so lost in harmony
yet by my side did she in melody
sing such sweet splendor her story.
~
I stood outside tonight in the cool air,
I am alone in this a pandemic crisis
though bittersweet her passion dare
stay somber while the soul still races
~
to find the solution to every moment
we could share, we know love’s lament.
