A place we knew
I go there sometimes
when I am in the neighborhood,
I will look for you
imagine your energy
if only we might know.
Tonight the parking lot
was empty.
I thought of all those nights
wanting the real
please, to overshadow
the loss of you.
I can’t find you
when nearby we wander
I wonder how close
given I rarely go there.
I took my skis
found another park
one of our reserves
and left with trials of solemnity.
I wonder about you
often when I take a breathe
when hear tonight
I write you a hello.
