alone
when we wonder why.
we heard something today
from a friend
and wondered just
how long it had been.
Then that tear
began rolling down
your lower cheek,
inexplainable
but felt, really felt it’s presence.
A wonder in the day,
could she wish
would we ever again
have a silent walk this way.
