I don’t know what to ask you,
instead I wait for answers
watching you roll in
anticipating the rise of the moon.
So spacious and immense
your waters would speak to me,
give me a path to find,
all this searching
while your waves crash the coast.
I don’t know what I want to ask you,
just wish you might guide my mind.
There’s something beautiful
about your shoreline,
the waves crashing
spilling into the air,
their immense power,
gives me humility
to know I’m an observer
not quite a participant
your gracious hand
a solid and awesome
reality.
I wait for the answers,
I know they are simple energy,
some cosmic trail
of mystique to live by,
to reason without
to reason within.
Oh, to find solace
in your memory.
