How simple can be life,
when we complicate
bury our sorrows
in self pity and strife.
Outside our persona
a world exists
too busy to flinch,
just barely hanging on.
I took a moment today,
to know the truth
that life is not simple
yet speaks the sleuth
who knows our struggles
two people in love,
carried away by the
tenets of our world.
Two souls wish to
find their interlude
so close in our minds
our hearts ache in truth.
Again across the seas
would that love grant ease.
