I wish you might know me
for the simple soul I am
is a quiet one.
~
Who wishes only peace in prayer
may be who we admire
without a need for gallant return.
~
I found my life tonight
in pages and parcels, scraps
tokens and tears.
~
Certainly nowhere in the rummage
could I find a young man
fell in love with the dream.
~
Watching from afar
now a world of decades
finding resignation.
~
I am the lovely man,
who could dream and imagine,
create and behold.
~
In the shelter of a wintry night
life finds an emptiness
a vessel of forgotten nights.
~
I’m sorting through my life
mine alone my life,
my life is in these shadows.
~
I know it’s somewhere
inside the memories,
I will be there forever.
~
Until the new dawn arrives,
some say it always does,
hold still a sigh.
~
Breathe deep among
scattered ashes for their lives
true abandon of all fear
~
For now we keep sorting through
what forever might hold true.
